World Aids Day

World Aids Day is today, but for a lot more people, it's every day.

BBC News Article - The number of gay and bisexual men being diagnosed with HIV in the UK reached an "all-time high" in 2011, according to the Health Protection Agency (HPA)

Hey Roo,

My sister-in-law's young gardener (I think he was 23) died about 2 weeks ago from Aids. It's preventable and treatable if you you act responsibly and quickly. People have to stop and think! Unfortunately, here in Africa, people have a very warped idea about sex in general. For example, did you know that having sex with a virgin can cure you of aids? We need better education on the subject...

Flash: Metz 58 AF-1 Digital; Sigma EM-140 DG. Tri/mono pods: Giotto MH1301/MH652 Tripod; Velbon UP400 Monopod. Bags; Canon & Dakine depending on when and where. Invariably, I end up lugging the camera by hand and shoving a spare lens in a pocket of whatever I am wearing, and leaving the tripod behind. One day I will learn .... Andrewhallpics©
